If you open the form from a product’s “Request a Quote” button, the product’s name is filled in for you.

Data collected automatically
- Website analytics: we use Google Analytics, added to the website by Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand how the website is used: pages visited, time on page, the site that referred you, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and clicks on our “Request a Quote”, “Chat on WhatsApp” and enquiry buttons, so we can see which pages bring enquiries. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google Analytics does not set cookies or record identifiable data until you accept statistics cookies in our cookie banner. Google Analytics uses cookies (see section 6).
- Spam protection: our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which collects information about your device and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google to tell people and automated programs apart.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, to keep the website secure and running.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data (such as health, financial account passwords or biometric data) through this website, and we do not take payments on the website.
3. Why we use your data
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiries and sending quotations you ask for | The data you choose to give us for that purpose; for EU/UK visitors, steps you ask us to take before a contract |
| Preparing and carrying out contracts, shipments, export documents and invoices | Performance of our contract with you |
| Keeping business, tax, customs and foreign-trade records | Compliance with legal obligations |
| Protecting the website and our forms from spam, fraud and attacks | Our legitimate interest in running a secure website |
| Understanding how the website is used so we can improve it | Your consent where the law requires it; otherwise our legitimate interest |
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where needed for the purposes above, with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: Hostinger (website hosting, content delivery and email delivery) and Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and reCAPTCHA). The fonts on our website are served from our own server, so viewing a page does not send your data to Google Fonts.
- Partners needed to complete a shipment you have ordered: manufacturers and suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, inspection and certification bodies, insurers and banks.
- Authorities such as customs, tax and foreign-trade authorities, when the law requires it.
- Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers) under a duty of confidentiality, and a buyer or successor if our business is reorganised or sold.
5. Transfers outside your country
We work with buyers and partners in several countries, and some of our service providers (including Google) process data in other countries, including the United States. When personal data is transferred across borders, we do so only as permitted by applicable law, and rely on the service providers’ contractual commitments to protect it.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice: you can accept, deny, or choose by category. You can change your choice at any time through “Manage consent” on any page. The full list of cookies, with their purpose and how long they are kept, is in our Cookie Policy (EU). This website uses the following:
_gaand_ga_*(Google Analytics): count visits and tell returning visitors apart, so we can see how the site is used. Kept for up to 2 years._GRECAPTCHA(Google reCAPTCHA): protects the contact form from spam and abuse. Kept for up to 6 months.- cmplz_functional, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_preferences and cmplz_marketing (this website): remember the choice you made in the cookie banner, so we do not ask again on every page. Kept for up to 1 year.
wordpress_*andwp-settings-*(this website): set only for our staff who log in to manage the website. Kept for the session, or up to 1 year.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about you with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking reCAPTCHA cookies may stop the contact form from working; you can always reach us by email or phone instead. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to business: up to 3 years after our last contact, so we can follow up and keep a record of what was discussed.
- Business, contract, tax and export records: for as long as Indian tax, customs and foreign-trade laws require.
- Analytics data: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
- Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider for security purposes.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the whole website, restricted access to our systems and email, regular software updates, and protection of our forms against automated abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach where the law requires it.
9. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and get a copy;
- ask us to correct, complete or update it;
- ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it by law;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (this does not affect what we did before);
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so (India);
- object to or restrict certain uses, and receive your data in a portable format (EU/UK);
- raise a grievance with us, and then complain to the relevant authority: the Data Protection Board of India, or the data protection authority where you live in the EU or UK.
To use any of these rights, email info@moggiesinternational.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We reply within 30 days.
